Where your phone is

When you start or stop a timer in the technician app (travelling, working on a job, a break), and when you set out and get home, the app records where your phone is at that moment, if you've let it use your location. It doesn't follow you between those moments, and it records nothing outside work.

Why

So that if a customer disputes when we were there, or how long we took, we can answer them, and so your travel can be shown against where you actually were, keeping your time paid and charged fairly. Work begun or ended more than 3 km from the job's place is marked for the office to ask you about. It's never refused, and nothing is decided about it without talking to you.

Your choice

Your phone asks before the app can use its location. You can say no, or turn it off in your phone's settings at any time, and your time is recorded just the same without it.

Who sees it, and for how long

TractorGP's team, in Atlas. It isn't shared with customers or anyone outside TractorGP. It's kept with each time record for 12 months, then removed; the record's times are kept as pay records.

We record it because we have a legitimate interest in answering disputes and paying and charging time correctly. You can ask the office what's held about you, or object to it, at any time.
